About Us

GÜRKOL PANSIYON, one of the first tourism establishments of the island, was founded in 1990 in the Cumhuriyet District, Meserret Sokak, No1 and is active in the tourism sector since that date.

This pension is run by Halit Gürkol, a member of the Gürkol family, that is one of the oldest families involved in viticulture in the island. The pension used to be Halit Gürkol's grandmother's house, and is still welcoming guests nowadays in its 8 rooms.

Being a guest of this pension, that offers only accommodation service, feels you like being a guest of one of the island's houses. This cosy pension offers hot water, independant bathroom with wc and shower, mini bar and is located in the city center of bozcaada, close to the pier, the restaurants and cafes. Moreover, it is located in one of the island's most typical streets. As soon as you cross the door, you will find yourself in the middle of the island life. Say hello to the neighbour aunt, walk a little bit and find the first restaurants. You can walk to the bakery and have a snack or have a look to the souvenir shops in the streets, run by the women of the island.
